OUR POLICIES CONCERNING REFUNDS AND FEES
Table of Contents |
1. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as requested by our clients or as required by law. For example, tax return information is disclosed to the Internal Revenue Service and state revenue departments when we electronically file your income tax returns.
2. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information concerning you, except to employees who need access to such information in order to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
3. We do not retain any credit card numbers on any credit card transactions that we process. Any written credit card information we receive is destroyed after the transaction is processed. We process our credit card transactions through Moneris Solutions who has given us a written statement that their procedures meet all of the requirements of VISA and Mastercard, the two credit cards we accept.
As a general rule, we do not refund fees.
Our fees are based upon the amount of time involved and the complexity of your situation. Our fees are never based upon the size of the refund. We generally cannot estimate the fee without seeing your documentation.
Policy concerning your payment
1. We expect payment for our services upon completion of our services (e.g. completion of your current year income tax returns). In certain cases we will require retainers before we perform any services. For example, we require a retainer when preparing delinquent tax returns.
2. We accept payment in the form of a personal or business check, VISA or Mastercard, or cash. Generally, if we experienced payment problems such as a NSF check in prior years, we will not accept a check.
